Land Acknowledgment

As an community volunteer based organization based in Calgary, we acknowledge that we are situated on the traditional territories of the Treaty 7 Region in Southern Alberta, which includes the Blackfoot Confederacy (comprising the Siksika, Piikani, and Kainai Nations), the Tsuut’ina, the Îyâxe Nakoda Nations, the Métis Nation (Region 3), and all people who make their homes in the Treaty 7 region of Southern Alberta.

We recognize the painful history and ongoing struggles of Indigenous communities in this region. Our commitment to supporting marginalized communities is informed by a deep respect for the land we occupy and the Indigenous peoples who have lived here for generations. We are dedicated to honoring their rich history and enduring presence, not just in words but through meaningful action towards equity and justice.
