About WEDO Canada

WEDO Canada is part of the Women’s Entrepreneurship Day Organization (WEDO), a global non-governmental volunteer charity founded in 2013 that celebrates, supports, and advances women in business worldwide. Through the international #ChooseWOMEN campaign, WEDO mobilizes individuals, organizations, and communities to invest in women and girls as active contributors to the economy, driving entrepreneurship, innovation, and long-term economic growth.

WEDO operates by building and strengthening networks of women leaders, innovators, and entrepreneurs who launch and scale businesses and contribute to community development around the world.

Established in 2019, WEDO Canada carries this mission forward nationally through scholarships for female students in entrepreneurial programs, educational summits featuring high-calibre speakers and panels, and a growing network of partners and sponsors. With Ambassadors in Alberta, British Columbia, Manitoba, Ontario, and Quebec—and a growing presence across Canada—WEDO Canada continues to expand its reach and strengthen connections across the country in support of women entrepreneurs.
