Meet Rowan House Society

Rowan House Society (RHS) is a nonprofit organization dedicated to breaking the cycle of domestic violence and abuse across Southern Alberta. Founded in 2003, Rouse Society provides a continuum of trauma‑informed services, including an Emergency Shelter, 24-Hour Support Line, Outreach programs, Children’s programming, and Preventative education initiatives.

Rowan House Society’s mission is to ensure that every person is safe, secure, and able to live free from abuse, and our vision is to compassionately erase domestic violence in the communities it serves. We support individuals through safety planning, crisis intervention, education, and community referrals, serving a large rural region.

For more than two decades, Rowan House Society has been a place of safety, healing, and hope, continually expanding its prevention efforts to address the root causes of domestic violence and abuse while partnering with community organizations to strengthen long‑term support systems.
