The Phoenix Foundation

The Phoenix Foundation is a Canadian non-profit organization dedicated to supporting the mental health and wellness of first responders, military personnel, veterans, and their families. Founded by individuals with firsthand experience in emergency response environments, the organization was created to address the unique psychological impacts of trauma, PTSD, anxiety, depression, and occupational stress experienced by those who serve on the front lines. Through holistic programming, peer support, evidence-based therapies, wellness initiatives, and community connection, The Phoenix Foundation aims to reduce stigma and provide meaningful pathways toward healing and resilience.

The Foundation broadly recognizes “first responders” as individuals who are among the first to respond during emergencies and crises. This includes firefighters, paramedics, EMTs, police officers, emergency dispatchers, search and rescue personnel, corrections officers, military members, tow truck drivers and other emergency service professionals regularly exposed to traumatic incidents in the line of duty.
